How to Stop WhatsApp from Auto-Photo/video Downloading

I know most of you would have been bored by this incessant photo download by one of the most popular Instant Messenger called WhatsApp.
It becomes most annoying when you belong to groups where the members refuse to obey the rules guiding the group and goes about posting irrelevant pictures.
You don't need to be angry anymore because you are about to come out of that frustration. I will be taking you through easy steps on how to turn off certain features in your WhatsApp so you can once again enjoy joining groups.
HOW TO STOP WHATSAPP FROM AUTOMATICALLY DOWNLOADING PHOTOS AND VIDEOS INTO YOUR PHONE
-Step 1:
Open your WhatsApp application
-Step 2:
Go to SETTING in your WhatsApp application.
The location of setting defers depending on the type of phone you are using. For most android phones, setting can be seen on the far right corner of the app. There you will see the Magnifying glass (Search), Message icon and 3-dots in a vertical order. Tapping the 3-dots will launch (open) SETTING. For others, you need to try the keys at the bottom of your phone where you have the RETURN and HOME keys.
-Step 3:
Now scroll down to SETTING (which is normally the last on the list) button proper and tap.
-Step 4:
 Tap DATA USAGE.
-Step 5:
In the next page that appears, tap WHEN USING MOBILE DATA and untick every box there. Then click OK. Repeat the same action for the next one (WHEN CONNECTED TO WiFi). Untick all the boxes there also and tap OK.

If you are able to follow these steps correctly, you will no longer be afraid of pictures that are sent to you directly or indirectly.
You now have power over what your WhatsApp downloads to your phone. You are the BOSS!

Do it and thank me later.
