JAMB Deploys New Method for 2017 UTME Registration

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (aka JAMB) on Wednesday announced that it is deploying a new method for registering of the examination. According to the board's head of Media and Information-Dr Fabian Benjamin, the method is called "Pin Vending".

What does this mean?
In his speech, he said that the public and especially prospective candidates should start getting themselves familiar with this new system as the old method of using scratch cards will no longer be used this time around.

"Candidates who are willing to register for the examination will just make an online payment and get a pin with which they will upload their data," he said.

This new method of "Pin Vending" can be accessed through all the online payment methods available in Nigeria, which includes Web payment, ATM Cards like Verve, Master Card, Visa Card, Quickteller, Mobile payment, Bank Branch card payment.

Addressing the issue of rumours making the round that the Board has started registration, he said that the Board will soon start accreditation of centres across the country so as not to repeat the challenges the board faced during the 2016 online examination.

No date was however announced of when the actual registration process will commence.

Share this with friends on Facebook and other platforms to keep them informed.
