SAD!!! Etisalat to Discontinue BlackBerry Services.

This is really sad. What on earth has BlackBerry done that everybody is abandoning them in the middle of the market?

I still don't understand why the once famous smartphone that made many people, (especially ladies) go wild, has become the most hated device around.

It was WhatsApp that started the business of abandoning BlackBerry smartphones and then Facebook followed. Then I thought it was a social media thing not until I saw this message from Etisalat.

It is no longer a hidden matter that BlackBerry smartphones have lost the love and prominence it once enjoyed especially in Nigeria. Everyone these days want an android enabled device.

Etisalat, a mobile network provider has announced that they will no longer support the BlackBerry service on their network. This was sent to every BB device that is connected to their network and also to new subscribers. So if you are yet to receive the message, do not panic as yours is either suspended in the air or it is very close to you.

This is what the message looks like:
Dear customer, our BB service will no longer be available. You will continue to enjoy your current subscription until it expires. Thank you for choosing Etisalat.

To the best of my knowledge, this is the first time Etisalat is treading a path no other mobile network service provider in Nigeria has trodden.
Do you think MTN, GLO and Airtel will follow soon?

My candid advise to all BlackBerry phone owners:
Please sell it out now that it still has value or be ready to use it like Nokia torch.
