JOB VACANCY: Nigeria Railway is Employing (9/10/16)
This is to inform the general public that the Nigerian Railway Corporation is currently recruiting.
The recruitment exercise has been on for a while now and the process of application is very simple and easy. All you have you do is to write a cover letter as a backing to your Curriculum Vitae or Resume as the case might be.
The problem most people will be having to write the Cover Letter. It is very simple but I am going to guide through on how to write a quality Cover Letter including a LINK that will throw more light on it.
Requirements:

Positions:
I am going to attach a link to all the positions being advertised as well as brief you on the core departments been advertised:
- Mechanical/Electrical/S&T Department
*As the name suggests, this is open to people in the Technical and engineering fields.
- Civil Engineering Department
This also has to do with Technical or Engineering skills but as the name suggests, Civil in nature.
- Corporate Planning Department
Store keepers, Environmental & Health Workers fall into this category.
- Administration/Human Resources Department
Secretaries, Public Relations Officers and other Office related positions belong here.
- Accounts Department
This is for people in the accounting and related fields.
- Audit Department
For Auditors and the likes.
- Operations & Commercial Department
Operations Master, Rail Master etc.
Qualifications:
OND with minimum of three (3) years experience in related field.
HND or UNIVERSITY DEGREE in relevant fields.

How to write a Cover Letter:
Guidelines:-
Header - Your header must contain your employer's information (name, address, phone [if any] email) and date.
Include your contact information at the end of the letter after your signature.
Salutation: -
Begin with Dr/Mr/Ms (then) last name, Dear Hiring Manager, Whom It May Concern or Dear Sir/Madam (when you are unsure of their names). Eg. Dear Briggs.
Introduction: -
Begin your introduction by stating what job you are applying for.
Explain what you heard about the job,
Briefly mention how your skills and experience match the company and or position.
Body: -
In a paragraph or two, explain why you are interested in the job and why you make an excellent candidate.
Mention specific qualifications listed and explain how you meet them. Do not restate your Resume or CV.
Provide explanation that demonstrate your abilities.
Closing: -
Restate how your skills make you a strong fit for the company.
Signature: Use a complementary close and (if you be submitted as hard copy) signature-handwritten and type your name in full under.
